The Mayer family
Tradition and history since 1785
Since 1785, the Ochsen has been an established part of Hohenstaufen. Our property therefore looks back on more than 241 years of history.
Early on, the “Ochsen” served as an inn for travellers and coachmen who stopped here in Hohenstaufen.
The location at the foot of Mount Hohenstaufen still shapes the stay today – with good access to Goeppingen and the surrounding region.
The house was also mentioned in literature: Wilhelm Raabe named the Ochsen in his 1873 novel “Christoph Pechlin”.
