The Mayer family
Tradition and history since 1785
The Ochsen has been part of Hohenstaufen since 1785. Our property therefore has a history spanning more than 241 years.
Early on, the “Ochsen” provided accommodation for travellers and coachmen stopping in Hohenstaufen.
The hotel's setting at the foot of Mount Hohenstaufen remains a distinctive part of staying here, while Göppingen and the surrounding region are within easy reach.
The hotel also appears in literature: Wilhelm Raabe mentioned the Ochsen in his 1873 novel “Christoph Pechlin”.
